At a distance of 67km from Gopalpur lies Taptapani, a place of hot water springs. The hot water is known to have some curative power that soothes away all your aches and pains.

Chandragiri :

There is a Tibetan refugee village known by the name of Chandragiri, situated at a distance of 36km south of Taptapani that is also a great stopover. The place has a number of temples and is known well for its Lhasa Apso dogs. An enchanting view is proffered from the Lighthouse hence; a visit to the place is a must. Chilika :

If time permits you can even visit the Chilka Lake which lies at a distance of 45km. Considered to be the biggest salt water lake, it is spread over an area of 1, 100sq.km and is also credited to be one of the busiest fishing centre.
